Our team at Castledowns Animal Hospital is committed to providing personalized and compassionate care for your pets. We understand the special bond which exists between pets and their owners and administer the same quality of care to your pets that we would demand for our own.

Our Vets

Dr. Raymond Lee

Veterinarian, B.Sc. Ag, D.V.M.

Dr. Raymond Lee graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1980, and in 1987 bought Castledowns Animal Hospital. His love of everything small animal has kept him in the Veterinary industry for almost 35 years! Dr. Lee most enjoys the variety of species and conditions he sees everyday, as well as educating clients. He has a soft spot for exotics and has a turtle at home. Outside of work, Dr. Lee enjoys spending time with his wife and children, and has a keen interest in Lapidary (forming stones and minerals into decorative items)!

Dr. Robyn Neville

Veterinarian, D.V.M.

Dr. Robyn Neville, born and raised in Edmonton, started her career in the animal health industry as an Animal Health Technologist (RVT). She graduated from the NAIT Animal Health Technology program in 2003. After working for 5 years as an AHT, Dr. Neville decided to pursue her childhood dream of becoming a veterinarian. She finished the 2 year pre-veterinary program at the University of Alberta in 2010 and was promptly accepted into the veterinary medicine program at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
After graduation, Dr. Neville returned to Edmonton with a focus on small animal medicine. Her special interests include dentistry, dermatology and ophthalmology.
In her spare time, Dr. Neville enjoys camping, fishing and traveling with her husband and cuddles with her cat, Fiona.

Dr. Jennifer Sired

Veterinarian, B.Sc., D.V.M.

Dr. Jennifer Sired graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013, and has enjoyed the challenge that small animal practice offers. She is committed to keeping up to date on the newest information and attends almost every continuing education event in the city! (nerd!) She particularly enjoys surgery, dentistry and internal medicine. Dr. Sired looks forward most to creating long term bonds with pets and their people. She has a soft spot for brachycephalic's (squishy faces) and has two boxers at home (Abbey and Carl). In her spare time, Dr. Sired enjoys reading, cooking and waterskiing at her cabin.

Lisa

RVT

Lisa graduated from the Animal Health Technology program at NAIT in 2014. She has a keen interest in cats and exotic pets, and especially enjoys helping the doctors to examine and treat these patients. She enjoys the clinical laboratory, surgical, and parasitology-related aspects of her job, and loves to keep up to date on new information in the veterinary world. She has a snake (Humphrey), gecko (Gimpy), and has recently acquired her first cat (Benedict) who she loves spending too much time with! Outside of work she enjoys slo-pitch, knitting, reading and playing video games.

Jessica graduated from NAIT in 2011 as a Veterinary Technologist. Her love of dentistry has inspired her to go back to school and pursue becoming a dentist, although she still finds time to work with us on a part time basis. Outside of work and school, Jessica enjoys gardening and playing with her dog Ruby!

RVT

Jenny first started working at Castledowns Animal Hospital in 2011 in client services as a fully registered VMA (Veterinary Medical Assistant). Her love of dealing with animals is what motivated her to go back to NAIT in 2012 to become a Veterinary Technologist. Jenny loves to spend time with her two dogs Hampton (a boxer) and Jellybean (a french bulldog), as well as enjoys playing volleyball, piano and guitar.

Sheena graduated from SIAST in Saskatoon in 2009 as a Veterinary Technologist. She is our resident 'crazy cat lady!' She has 7 cats and 2 dogs (yes, we know...). Sheena recently had a little boy and is currently on maternity leave. Outside of work when she has time, Sheena enjoys camping, fishing and swimming.

Kim

Client Relations

Kim graduated from the Veterinary Medical Receptionist Program at Olds College in 2007. She continues to contribute to Olds College by volunteering for the VMR Advisory Committee. She was born and raised on a farm in Saskatchewan and enjoys going back to visit family as often as she can. Kim has a dog and cat that live out on an acreage with her. In her free time she loves camping, fishing, kayaking and gardening.

Client Relations

Leah was born and raised in Prince Edward Island. She moved to Edmonton in 2013 and pursued her love for animals by taking the Veterinary Medical Assistant program at NAIT. Leah graduated in 2017 and started her practicum here at Castledowns Animal Hospital. We liked her so much that we gave her a permanent position! Leah is currently taking the Animal Health Technology program at NAIT. Outside of work she enjoys movies, reading and being outdoors.

Tech Assistant

Haruna is the newest member of our team. She started working with us as a volunteer and was so talented and enthusiastic that we had to offer her a permanent position! She loves the variety of animals she sees working here, and falls in love with nearly every one. Outside of work, Haruna enjoys spending time with her daughter and her chocolate lab Choco.
